Mobile Offline Mode

If you spend your day in areas without wireless connectivity or internet access, use Offline Mode to capture your work.

The new Offline Mode enables you to keep working and capture information on your Core Mobile App even if you can’t access the internet. You have access to all of your work scheduled for that day. You can update and submit Forms and complete Tasks. Once you have internet access, you can upload your work for the day.

Offline Mode is a manual setting accessed in your Mobile App Settings. Before you head out, while you still have an internet connection, turn on Offline Mode to download all of your work for the day. Access to data in Core will be limited to work scheduled for that day.

While in Offline Mode, your Core Mobile App will be disconnected from Core cloud services – even if your phone has a solid internet connection. You can upload the updates you’ve made and exit Offline Mode at any time you have an internet connection.

Do you regularly work in a disconnected environment? Let us know how Offline Mode works for you.

Offline Mode is a premium feature. Please reach out to Customer Success if you’d like to try it, but it is not available to you. You can chat directly with Customer Success by either clicking the blue icon at the lower right or through the Help utility in your Profile Settings.

Notes:

Android users: In Core Mobile App v2.7.0, Map Views are disabled. A software utility used to render the maps requires an update from our vendor. Once our vendor completes their upgrade, we will re-enable the Maps View feature. If you have questions or concerns, please reach out to Customer Success.

iOS users: Core Mobile App v2.7.0 requires iOS 13.0 or later on Apple devices.

The Core Mobile App does not support the Chat function outside of Sessions. Users on the Core Web App can start messages with other users, but you must be in the Core Web App to view and respond to those messages.

If you have previously used versions of Core mobile apps, you should remove them once you install Coolfire Core App 2.7.0. Both apps may send notifications for the same events.

Thoughts or comments, please reach out. You can chat directly with Customer Success by either clicking the blue icon at the lower right or through the Help utility in your Profile Settings.
